All 38 Tasmanian Catholic schools and colleges will celebrate the valuable contribution Catholic schools have made to Tasmanian communities during Catholic Education Week.

This year’s theme is 'The Spirit of the Lord is upon me' from Luke's Gospel 4:18-19.

Our schools celebrate Catholic Education Week through a variety of activities including liturgies, open days and coming together to celebrate in a regional Mass.

We also recognise our committed and gifted teachers and support staff who have served 25 years in Catholic education. Since the 25 Years of Service Awards began in 2006, 346 Tasmanian Catholic education staff have been recognised for their considerable contribution and generous service to our schools and colleges.

Catholic Education Week provides a wonderful occasion for students, teachers, families, friends and parishes to acknowledge the strengths and achievements of Catholic schools and those who contribute to their ongoing success. In particular, the twelve members of the Tasmanian Catholic education community who will be receiving Tasmanian Catholic Education Commission Recognition Awards in honour of their significant contribution to Catholic education.
